First stop today was the Amir Temur Museum…and we were joined by a lot of school children on a field trip.
The building
itself was very pretty, both outside
and in.
The museum contained a lot of models, info and artifacts about the Silk Road and Amir Temur (Tamerlane) and Central Asia.

From there we headed out across the countryside

where we saw a lot of roadside stands and herds along the road.
We also visited a ceramics shop. We watched one man make a vase and another a young man decorate a bowl.

And of course they had a great display of ceramics for sale.

All three of the ladies (Mary, Tara and Pei
Jing) ended up buying some lovely pieces.
The work here was very different here than our other ceramics visit. More bright colors and the pieces seemed more
durable.

We ended up
in Fergana this night for an overnight stay.
After eating dinner we drove around a bit to see some of the colorful
lights.
